Joshua Thompson is currently on the faculty of Castleton University and University of Vermont as horn instructor. He also teaches applied conducting and conducts the wind ensemble at Castleton University. He completed graduate studies at the Hartt School and undergraduate studies at the College of Saint Rose. An active performer in the Northeastern United States, he is the 2011 winner of the Northeast Horn Workshop solo competition. Joshua has recorded with Johnny Vic and Naxos records, founded Gloversville Community Music, and started “Chamber Music at the Chamber”, a 2017 Saratoga Arts grant recipient.
